Management Policy

I managed to get my paper done for Spencer just in time. Quite well written, too, if I may say so myself. I was writing it during International Business and Spencer called me out for it. I pointed out that it was necessary since he’d only assigned it two days ago. “Did I really only assign it on Tuesday?” he asked. He got a chorus of yeses and never said another word about it.

Management Policy today was rich. I learned everything I ever wanted to know (and more) about yachts, LL Bean, boat shoes, communion wafers, super-premium ice cream (not the premium crap like Ben & Jerry’s), Vermont, Rhode Island buildout, French trash cans, and probably a few other things I’m forgetting. In a way I feel bad for stating on my mid-term evaluation that too small a percentage of class time was productive, but it’s true. It’s really hard to evaluate that class. I feel like it moves too slowly, but yet I’m constantly busy with lots of reading (a business case and article or chapter per class) and we move through it pretty quickly. I don’t feel like I’m learning a lot from the case studies, but yet I’ve always said on my evaluations, “More practical examples and hands-on experience.”

Now, I have two hours before call. Should I make dinner, catch up on work at FLT, send out my resume some more, do some laundry, or clean up a bit more around here?

I’ve begun sending my resume out to employers I’m interested in. My resume is available online in HTML or PDF form.

Blosxom

I just installed Blosxom as my new blogging tool. It’s fast, simple, and has “goodies for OS X,” though I haven’t discovered what those are, yet. Wish I had more time to make it look nice, but I have to run to a piano lesson, not to mention the business case analysis for Management Policy due tomorrow (assigned yesterday) and the last (and first) full dress rehearsal of the musical all night tonight. Another week and a half and I’ll get to have a normal life again, which I’m sure the professors whose classes I’ve been neglecting will appreciate.
