"In light of the cross..." by Gerald

Jason, it sounds as though things have been more real than romantic recently. It’s actually a benefit to stay beyond the first stage when everything is delightful. Those rough edges in the interactions bring out something important in ourselves, our self-awareness—in ways that staying home and in comfort zones never will.

I was dismayed to hear of your car repo episode. To have friends who can watch it happen before their eyes yet nothing to do about it is very frustrating. The fragility of the electronic systems is something you would know inside out. Sorry that this disruption should disturb your own sense of security about what is happening back home. Even more distressing, of course, are the stories of great losses in our kindred campuses (Bluffton and Va Tech). It keeps us humble, and grateful for the precious gift of life.

Thanks for sharing a glimpse of your Holy Week observances. We had a very rich season together at The Table. Missed you. As Jesus says to his disciples, “Peace be with you.”

"...fool me twice, shame on me" by Mike E.

Hi Jason. Sounds like you’re having quite the time! I just lost my passport today in Italy. Can’t believe I could do something that stupid. It has my visa stamped in it and everything. In my case I don’t have anyone else to blame (like a thief) so I’m pretty ticked off at myself right now (it just happened this morning). So Sam told me to check out your story and maybe I’d feel better! :0)
Hope you will have much more pleasant experiences in the future!
Hasta luego,
